Magma - Dondaï bass cover
Little bit of a dilemma here... I didn't want to strike the strings too hard to try and reproduce the soft sound of the bass in the song. Yet I couldn't up the volume of my amp too much or it would have been saturated as hell. So the result is that on some passages it's hard to hear my bass, yet I didn't want to lower the song too much so the singing and piano would still be audible. I guess I could have done a better job but I didn't want to spend the afternoon trying different settings. I'm actually working on some other stuff (mainly The Last Seven Minutes and Liirik Necronomicus Kaahnt) in order to cover the entire Attahk album. So as this one is easier I just figured I would make it in one or two takes. I say easier yet I've made some mistakes, but that's mostly because I got unfocused. No real difficulty in there except for the passage starting around 4:37 .
