ECM 6805 error code still NOT fixed -2003 Volvo XC90 Part 42
So it was back to the main problem and I decided to farm the job out to my local Volvo specialist (Volvo Specialis Car Sales in Brighouse). They soon came back to me and said that the turbocharger needed to be rebuilt and the intercooler needed to be replaced. I gave them the go ahead to get the work done as I needed the XC90 for the touring caravan's next outing to Primrose Valley in September 2024. A couple of weeks after it was dropped off it was finally ready. I was asked to give it a road test before taking it home. The smoking had stopped and I couldn't get it trigger the "Engine Service Required" error message. On my way home the message came up and on the way to Costco in Leeds the message popped up once again. I'm hoping that the ECM is just relearning after the work that has been carried out because the eoro message hasn't popped up again since. I'll take it back to the specialist when I come back for a part off one of their spares XC90s.
