Why Do PCIe Pigtail (Y Splitter) Cables Actually Exist?
Many PSUs give 'pigtail' (Y splitter) PCIe cables to help power your PCIe devices, but unfortunately many modern GPUs need so much power that it's not always advisable to use a pigtail to solely power your graphics card.
But this raises the question: why does the pigtail cable exist then? And why do PSU makers still give them to us?
