Making a beat in 3/4 time then rapping over it
Hello, my friends.
This is Cosmic. I've always been interested in odd time signatures and their applications in hip hop/rap music. This video is about making a beat in 3/4 time and then rapping over it to see what it sounds like. If you like this video, let me know if I should do the same in other time signatures like 5/4, 7/4, 10/8, 11/8, or more! I think those would be even more interesting of challenges lyrically. Thank you again for the support for the ice video, and I'm sorry I didn't post for two weeks. It was mostly just other priorities in life needing my attention and the fact that editing for this video took longer since I spent some time on the little animations and deeper explanations of the process.
