Cosmic - VOID (Amicus Astra)
Hello, my friends.
This is Cosmic and this is the eighth and penultimate song of Amicus Astra. Void might be the least musically interesting song on the project but probably has some of my favourite examples of sound design and sampling. I'm very happy with this track in the sense that it matches the vibes I was going for very well. Some interesting bits of sampling are the whale sounds with some strong EQ and either a flanger or a phaser. Also around the midpoint there are some dissonant warbly sounds in the background in a churning kind of patter. Those are actually sounds of one of those sorting algorithm videos chopped, processed, and put into a loop. After this is the very last song of the project and one of my favourites altogether. This project will release song-by-song over the next few weeks to try and gain some traction. A track might hit the algorithm just right, I don't know.
