Ten a.m. the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and wash till my hands are clean
frolic, relax, do laundry, then drown in my cup
Wash my hands and by then it’s like ten or fifteen?
And so I’ll read e-books, or maybe two or three
I’ll add a few new posts to social galleries
I play the air guitar and sit and basically
Just wonder “when ends this quarantine?”
Then after lunch it’s puzzles and darts and craving
Watch some tv, game in between, learn chess
Talk to the walls for hours and then start wailing
Then I’ll stretch, maybe sketch, take a nap, get undressed!
And I’ll re-read the posts if I have time to spare
I’ll paint my nails some more, I’m sure there’s room somewhere
And then I’ll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair
Because the hairdresser won’t do trims
And I’ll keep wandering and wandering and wandering and wondering
“When ends this quarantine?”
Then in the night,
darkness appears
Just like it does when I lay here, in fear
What is it like, there were people go?
Now the day’s over
Will the ministry let me go?
