I made a really cinematic sound and felt like sharing a condensed version how I created it. Then I loaded the sound into iZotope iris 2 so I could play it with my synth and layered it with one of the stock patches from the Hydrasynth.

NERDY CRAP
There are 3 tracks
The first is the sound I made being played through iris2 (vst)
The second is audio in from the Hydrasynth (blade titles patch)
Tracks 1 & 2 are being layered and played simultaneously, the HS has polyphonic aftertouch which allows me to bring that sound in as I wish, per note by pushing harder on the keys
Track 3 is a being played alone and is a patch in CUBE (vst)
I'm switching scenes via the MIDI pedalboard controller at my feet to the right, it's sending MIDI that's being routed into OBS to tell OBS to change scenes
That same MIDI pedalboard is triggering some custom actions in REAPER that are selecting a track group allowing me to swap between sounds, and my mic too
