Tarp repair replace damaged grommets

A common fault with tarps is damage around the grommet eyelet, in an emergency this can be mitigated with a simple field hack.

Place a rounded object like a smooth pebble on the area you want to tie down. Cover with some of the tarp and then using cordage tie around it for a temporary anchor point.

Once you get home you can easily repair this damage with a repair kit like this
