NOTE: This advice only applies to coupled mode!
This video is part of a series of low-production-value but timely videos to get players up and running with the 3.10 changes. In 3.10, the way thrust inputs are combined in coupled mode has changed (this is not related to jerk changes, which may be covered in a separate video). As a result, strafing into turns will result in less acceleration - lower maneuverability, lower turn rate.

Additionally, to maximize deceleration during braking maneuvers, more precise flying is now required. You must put your ATVI in one of two to four specific locations so that you can bring all of your thrusters to bear against your existing vector.

All footage recorded in Star Citizen alpha 3.10m.

LEGACY INSTRUCTIONAL SERIES ("LIS") is an effort focused on creating training guides and tutorials for the upcoming space game Star Citizen. The LIS is a collaborative effort across the community, but is spearheaded by LEGACY FLEET, a player organization.
