SEA BREAM fishing from the BEACH in SUMMER 🏖️
Today we're tackling one of the most exciting challenges: catching BREAM FISH in broad daylight, with flat, calm, or nearly calm seas and a blazing sun.
In this 16-minute video, I'll take you to the beach to reveal the rigs, hooks, and baits I use to catch her majesty the sea bream when temperatures rise.
Did you know that marine biology perfectly explains why large sea bream come ashore during the hottest hours of the day? Being ectothermic (cold-blooded) fish, they take advantage of the warm water layer of the summer shoreline to accelerate their metabolism and digest their complex diet, made up of hard, calcareous shells like crabs, clams, and razor clams, much more quickly! It's purely a question of energy efficiency. We'll discuss this in detail at the beginning of the video!
