On October 2nd, Cirkula Bookstore welcomed writer Marcelo Labes for the launch of Memória do Chão, published by Companhia das Letras. In a special evening, the author spoke with the audience about the writing process, his childhood memories, and the experiences that inspired this moving autofictional novel.
In Memória do Chão, Labes narrates the formative years of a boy at a boarding school in southern Brazil, in a poetic and brutal dive into the pains of adolescence and the scars left by time.
