How do I stay motivated to make art? That's easy. Art makes me happy. Making art isn't a burden for me. It's a relief from my burdens. It's an escape and my happy place.
Even when it's really really hard, it's not like backbreaking labor. It's like playing a really fun video game on hard.
If staying motivated to make art is challenging for you, maybe making art isn't for you. No one says you HAVE to make art. OR. It could be that you're just making the WRONG art. The wrong subject matter or the wrong medium.
Try leaning into your joy.
