This video describes the pre qualification letter also known as the "pre qual" which you will need if you are going to buy a home. When you ( your Buyer Agent ) present your offer to the listing agent of a home, you have to present the contract to purchase real estate signed by you, the buyer and you have to provide proof of funds. This proof of funds, if you are using a lender, comes in the form of a pre qualification letter which your loan officer will generate, after having a conversation with you on the phone.
