SIMATIC HMI Switch is one of basic of elements in SIMATIC HMI for TIA Portal . In this topic , you will see how to create a complex PID application in TIA Portal , create graphic database in HMI and link that to a tag in PLC .
PID application is created in S7-300 and linked to a simulated process. All binary selectors of PID block is linked to Switches in SIMATIC HMI. PID Binary selectors include:
1- PID reset
2- PID Manual / automatic mode
3- PID P_SEL , I_SEL and D_SEL
Three IO Fields are provided for PID parameters. These parameters are fed as Real variables while Time variables are converted internally in OB1. A slider is also used for manipulation of Set Value of PID , it is manipulated as an INT variable and eventually it is converted to Real variable. The final HMI element is the Trend view from control sections for data illustration.
