Neo PID Tuner is a great android based app for PID tuning and process estimation for wide range of PLC and DCS platforms. In this demo , you will see how to tune a 1st order model with a moderate delay value in siemens PCS 7 environment.
Loop is estimated by a step change in control value, the process reaction curve is recorded and data is fed to the app.4 types of conservative and aggressive parameters are calculated and it is even possible to simulate the whole control strategy in the app itself. PID is tested with aggressive parameters for a quick start up , a perfect quick response is expected and minor overshoot is also expected.
