Feel free to skip this video if your only looking for info on the FM-4. In this lesson I talk about how FM has evolved, We begin by looking at classic analog pieces of hardware capable of simple FM, to the digital (and super famous) Yamaha DX-7 to Native Instruments FM8. What I want you to see is that technology has completely changed the original notion of FM (not necessarily for the worst). Lucky for us the FM-4 is a very faithful reproduction of a Frequency Modulation based synthesizer and for that reason it should make programming FM a bit more intuitive and fun!
