The Courier starts the episode by revisiting Novac, checking in on familiar faces and gathering supplies before heading deeper into Freeside. A stop at Cliff’s shop proves worthwhile: we barter for the much-needed C4 required for the Vault 19 sulphur cave job, and Cliff even hands over the key to the Novac apartment, giving the Courier an official home in town at last.
After tying up a few loose ends around Novac, we fast-travel into Freeside, navigating past the Silver Rush and the usual chaos of the streets before arriving at the Old Mormon Fort. There, we assist the Followers of the Apocalypse, donating caps and supplies to support their medical work. These contributions open new opportunities — including receiving a Locksmith’s Reader from Julie Farkas — and eventually lead to a formal invitation to join the Followers. As recognition for our support, we’re awarded the Followers Reinforced Lab Coat along with the key to their safehouse, cementing our growing reputation within the faction.
The Courier continues helping around Freeside, aiding the Garret Twins with their stills and improving conditions around the strip-adjacent neighborhood. The episode finishes with a journey to the Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse, bridging our rising influence between the Followers and the Brotherhood as the Courier’s position in the Mojave grows ever more complex.
