Picking up directly where Episode 65 left off, the Courier, Veronica, and ED-E continue their journey through the Mojave Wasteland in what starts as a peaceful moment… and quickly turns deadly.
We open by clearing out stray Powder Gangers near Vault 19 before testing our sniper skills on nearby Deathclaws lurking in the distance. Just when things seem under control, another group of Legion Assassins appears around the corner and is taken out in a fast, brutal ambush.
Exploring a nearby abandoned house, we uncover an eerie NCR Ranger holodisk message, adding more mystery to the landscape. With unfinished business calling, we then follow up with Red Lucy’s quest, heading to Bootjack Cavern in search of the dangerous Fire Gecko Eggs. Along the way we deal with Golden Geckos, discover a dead prospector, and brave the unforgiving terrain of the Mojave.
The episode ends in true Fallout fashion with a completely unexpected, slow-motion disaster as the Courier misjudges a jump and plummets off a cliff to their death — a beautiful end to a very ugly fall.
