How To: Make Prettier Webclips in iOS
When you add a website to the homescreen on your iOS device (known as a web clip), it will often use an icon that the website provides. However, if there is no icon from the website, a simple screenshot of the entire webpage is used. Sometimes that screenshot isn't very helpful visually. You can zoom in on a portion of the website to create a web clip that is visually more appealing and helpful to users.
