Keaton Wynn, 2024 NCECA Conference Presenter, Yellow River Clay; Lanzhou Ceramic Residency
For the past 10 years, I and the faculty at Lanzhou City University helped to facilitate an ongoing ceramic residency that introduced Western artists to the deserts of China and the ancient cave complex and culture of Dunhuang. Working in Gansu province, our efforts coalesced in collaborations and exhibitions.
Keaton Wynn is a Professor of Art teaching Ceramics and Art History at Georgia Southwestern State University. He is the Co-founder and Director of the Lanzhou Ceramic Residency at Lanzhou City University. The residency offers Western artists access to the Silk Road in western China to inspire their creative practice.
