The science of clean water is highly interdisciplinary and crucial to protecting a resource that we all rely on. In this #StaffSpotlight, learn about the latest research happening around one of New England's most iconic bodies of water with Matthew Vaughan, NEIWPCC environmental analyst and Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) chief scientist.
Vaughan oversees scientific projects funded by the LCBP and works closely with the LCBP Technical Advisory Committee. He holds a Ph.D. in natural resources from the University of Vermont, an M.S. in hydrologic sciences from UC Davis, and a B.A. in physics from Middlebury College. His research focuses on the influence of land use and land cover on water quality in the Lake Champlain Basin.
