Youth and the Environment – Exploring Clean Water Careers
The Youth and the Environment Program (YEP) has been providing underserved youths with experiences in the environmental field since 1990. The goal of YEP is to engage young adults with their local environments, while introducing them to career opportunities in the field of #CleanWater.
During this paid summer program in partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), students from the cities of Lowell and Lawrence, Massachusetts spend six weeks gaining career experience from clean water professionals, including lessons on environmental topics, field trips to explore the local environment, and daily work protecting public health and the environment.
