My Cranberry Oatmeal and Walnut Cookies

Hello and welcome to Old Ways Gardening and Prepping.🍀 Would like to welcome you each in to our kitchen on this rainy afternoon . Finally getting around to making a batch of cookies that I have not made in a very long time and happy as can be.

Personally love to make cookies of all kinds and experiment with recipes to come up with my own mixes and this is one of my own creations. Just the aroma from mixing this cookie dough is such a delicious scent. Then while they are baking their scent floats through the house and you can't help but to smile.

This is a easy dough to make and can mix and match the extra ingredients to create your own cookies. Below is the recipe for my cookies.

My Cranberry Oatmeal and Walnut Cookies

2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp (only if using unsalted butter)

1 cup of butter (salted or unsalted) room temperature
1 cup of cane sugar
1 cup of light brown sugar (+1 Tbsp of black strap molasses) or 1 cup of dark brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp's of pure vanilla
1 TBsp of cinnamon

3 cups of old fashioned oatmeal
1 1/2 cups of dried cranberries
1 cup of walnuts

Bake in 350* oven for 15 minutes or till lightly brown and soft in the center.
