Yellow Rattle Seedlings - First Big Meadow Sowings
In summer 2023 I sowed a ~3500 sq.m meadow with yellow rattle. I had already scarified the area for another reason: to smooth out the surface and so improve access for small-wheeled garden equipment. Since the entire surface was scarified, it was a unique opportunity to sow some wild flower seeds. I harvested the yellow rattle seed from plants in the second year of getting established in another meadow. There are seedlings everywhere in the new meadow so I'll be following their progress in 2024.
