MAKEOVER! Create a Cozy Corner
We took an misused shelf, an under used corner of the house and turned it into a cozy place to sit and have coffee, read, meditate, whatever! By adding some plants, books and candles we found around the house, we were able to do this little project for no money! This shelf was a special piece we owned from a former residence, but you can take any board and a couple of brackets to create a simple shelf, just make sure you secure those screws with anchors! The hanging plant hanger was made with plumbing materials we had but can be easily found at your local hardware store. One cute hack we did to add new small plants—I had a mixed succulent planter that I bought last summer from Home Depot and it had overgrown in a gnarly way (you may have done the same thing!) and needed to be repotted. I separated it into smaller plants and put them into candle containers that were no longer in use. This is a good thing to think about when you buy candles in the future! How can it be reused when it's no longer a candle? I only buy scented candles with future-proof containers (these in the story are from Madewell). I love old used books to give them varying heights and burning a little palo santo gives us some good vibes and mood. Try it!
