This is possibly the last footage you will ever see inside the former Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital in Parsippany-Troy Hills/Morristown New Jersey. In exactly one week, the demolition company, NorthStar, is slated eradicate over 140 years worth of history. The state of New Jersey has decided to waste $34 million in taxpayer dollars to destroy a historical landmark that has survived the tests of time and left a legacy of advancements in the field of mental health that we can all learn from. If you are a New Jersey resident, you should know that YOUR taxes are being used to do this, and even though multiple successful companies attempted to purchase the building and restore it to be used for many more generations to come, Chris Christie has ignored the pleas of those trying to save Greystone.
