DOG IN PRISON – DOG THERAPY AND RESOCIALIZATION BEHIND BARS
We're launching a brand new series of films shot as part of the DOG IN PRISON project!
What is "DOG IN PRISON"?
This is an original project by dog trainer Krzysiek Tatar. Together with his dogs, and in the coming months with other trainers and dogs from the Homeless Animal Shelter in Wałbrzych, he conducts dog therapy sessions for inmates from the Świdnica Detention Center. During these sessions, inmates learn to work with dogs, learn their nature, language, and the secrets of building relationships, as well as how to maintain their mental and physical well-being. They also learn how to express and manage their emotions, because working with a dog requires focus, calm, and authenticity. 😊 But that's not all! In our films, you'll also meet interesting and inspiring guests; the first recording has already been released!

In the first episode, you'll learn, among other things, where the idea for introducing dogs into prisons came from, what the prison is like, and what its purpose is. You'll meet the project participants and see some of the first activities. Like the Inmates, you'll explore the basics of working and playing with a dog. Krzysiek will be your guide through a little-known, closed-off world.
