BUYING A DOG FROM A PSYCHO BREEDING ON OLX?!
We suspect that, despite the legal ban, we'll find illegal online offers for dogs from pseudo-breeding operations. As part of our experiment, we'll call several listings on OLX to determine whether puppies of selected breeds are actually for sale or whether they should be paid for. Are the puppies being cared for by experienced, knowledgeable individuals who care for their well-being, or are they simply looking to make a quick profit at the dogs' expense?
Did you know that in Poland, dogs can only be sold by breeders registered with the Kennel Club or other associations designated for this purpose? Dogs can only be sold on premises where dogs are bred and raised. This law has been in effect since 2012 and aims to ensure decent breeding conditions, ensure that the dogs sold are physically and mentally healthy, and ensure that future dog owners don't buy a proverbial pig (in this case, a dog) in a poke.
