In this video,
I'm going to tell you
how to pack your duffel bag
for Mount Kilimanjaro.
First of all,
we recommend a 90-liter bag,
so you have enough room
to fit everything.
You can use it as a checked bag
or roll it up and put it in your suitcase
for the flight.
After the trip briefing,
you'll pack your duffel for the mountain.
Even though we put your duffel
in a waterproof bag,
items may still get wet.
Here are some tips
to keep that from happening
and to help make all your items fit.
Our first suggestion is to roll up
items like pants and jackets.
Place items
you don't want wet
inside dry bags and Ziplocs.
Stuff smaller items inside your boots.
Pack your toiletry items
in a toiletry bag.
Place your snacks in Ziplocs.
Bring a pillowcase
and stuff your jacket into it for a pillow.
Wrap breakable items
inside a fleece.
Pack socks
and underwear in mesh bags or dry bags.
Remember to keep the weight below
33 pounds (15 kg).
This is the maximum weight
a porter can carry.
