In the 4th video of our Linkedin Workshop series, Daniel Alfon shares his top tip for business owners regarding their profile.
Are you really thinking about your client when writing your LinkedIn profile? Are you leveraging your profile to convert views into clients? What happens when you google your full name?
Is your LinkedIn profile really customer-oriented? Have you written it as a website?
In a nutshell, Daniel suggests a different approach. Stop treating your LinkedIn profile as a CV when you're not looking for a job!
The LinkedIn platform is here to serve you – not you to serve it.
Consider your favorite app.
No matter what it is, if you're over 35, you probably bought your first cell phone to place and receive calls. Now you can use your cell phone for hours using apps like the one you like without having any call.
Initially, all cell phone users cared about was calls. But when everybody started owning a cell phone and the user base grew, the platform became attractive for non-call purposes like apps.
It is true that many LinkedIn users signed up when they were looking for a job. But they're not gone. Their profile is here, and it even gets updated.
Think of LinkedIn as that cell phone platform.
