Bad Day Trucking Happy To Get Home! I am sure we have all experienced really bad days truck driving but I was so demoralized over recent days with the disregard that companies have for drivers, the job I recently had there was no tour of the yard or work area before starting the job and I was shocked at how bad it was, the drivers I spoke to said that drivers were leaving regularly because the conditions were so bad, I did one day and decided to try agency work! as mentioned in the video I had a bad experience doing that too, in fact, it was quite funny really when I turned up I had to sign multiple pieces of paperwork to protect the company, but of course, I was late as it was a last-minute agency job so there was very little explanation about the job, what the job actually entailed and I had a really difficult day using an electric pallet truck which seemed to have a mind of its own simply because I had not had any training in using one. I was so happy to finish the day without any serious mishaps, but to be honest, I didn't feel safe which I should have done, and I really should have stood my ground with the health and safety side of the job, unfortunately, as drivers, we tend to be embarrassed to admit when we don't know something but I have learned a valuable lesson today, if something doesn't feel right just don't do it because it isn't worth risking anything with regards to safety and your own sanity!
