20220825 • AVEK DISCUSSES MOJAVE INLAND PORT
At the Antelope Valley East Kern Water Agency (AVEK) public meeting on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, General Manager Dwayne Chisam told board members that Kern County supervisors recently approved plans for an inland port at Mojave.
Projected to handle 3600 trucks a day and 3 million containers per year the site is next to Highway 58. This facility is expected y generate 3,000 jobs and 74 million dollars in additional property tax.
