Tribunal stops China Road and Bridge Corporation from harvesting sand in Kwale
An environmental tribunal has stopped China Road and Bridge Corporation from harvesting sand in Kwale. The move is expected to delay the reclaiming of the Indian Ocean for a new rail container terminal. The government had allowed the Chinese company to harvest sand for the construction of the container terminal supposed to link the standard gauge railway to the port of Mombasa. By Anne Mburu.
