Phil Robb
Phil Robb is senior technical director for OpenDaylight, an open source platform for SDN and NFV. Phil is a widely respected expert in the area of open source strategy, business impact, and governance. He is frequently asked to speak at international technology and business events and he has been consulted by policy makers including the European Commission, and the United States Department of Justice as well as numerous high technology trade organizations. Prior to joining the OpenDaylight, Phil was the director of HP’s Open Source Program Office where he had responsibility for HP’s corporate open source strategy, engagement with the open source community, oversight of the Open Source Review Board, and a variety of software development projects. Phil was focused on open source at HP from 2001 through 2012. Prior to HP, Phil held senior management and technical positions at Critical Path, Fisher Scientific, Motorola and Honeywell-Bull focused on wireless, and wire-line high speed telecommunications software and services. Phil holds a bachelor of science degree in Management Information Systems from Bowling Green State University and performed graduate studies in Computer Science at Colorado State University.
About Toby Ford
Currently, Mr. Ford is responsible for shepherding SDN and NFV projects on to AT&T's Integrated Cloud (AIC) platform. Previously, Toby served as CTO for USi, which was acquired by AT&T in 2006. Mr. Ford has held positions at Cornell University, ARINC, TeleCommunication Systems, and his own company in the Netherlands. Toby has been a member of the OpenStack Board of Directors from it's inception in 2012.
About Chris Luke
Since joining Comcast in early 2011, Chris has taken a lead role in the architecture and practical application of programmable behaviors in the Comcast network. As a Sr. Principal Engineer within the Network Architecture group, Chris developed the framework for network automation which provides the foundation for Comcast’s SDN strategy. He is now working towards the goal of common dataplanes, improved application/network interactions and ubiquitous IPv6. Chris also actively serves as teacher and mentor for internal training programs aiming to give network engineers the skills to operate in a more software-driven world.
Chris is currently the Chairperson of the OpenDaylight Advisory Group, a committer on the FD.io VPP project and a member of the P4 design group.
Chris’ background prior to Comcast has seen him build global multi-service IP networks, contribute code to critical parts of the Linux and FreeBSD kernels, support open-source routing daemon projects like Bird and Quagga and everything in between.
