What are Test Scenarios and Test Cases?
In this video, I will be going over test scenarios and test cases. Testing is a crucial activity when creating a product or service because you are validating if the product is working as expected.
Test Scenarios are written at a high level of what to test. No instructions, but just a simple statement of needs to be validated.
Whereas test cases are a series of sequential steps and inputs to observe the behavior of the product.
While test scenarios are broad, they can be beneficial from the start of things and can support the generations of test cases.
Test Scenarios are simple, easy to maintain, and tells you what to test. However, it can induce the risk of incomplete testing.
Test cases are more detailed, harder to create and maintain, tells you what and HOW to test, and reduces the risk of incomplete testing.
Testing in general is important, and documenting testing processes and testing results will help keep track of problems that are found.
