Singular or Plural? Everyone, Everybody, Someone, and Anybody
Whether an English word is plural or singular can sometimes be extremely difficult to decide. Words such as everyone, everybody, anyone, anybody, no one etc . are often mistaken to be plural e.g. ‘Everybody are here.’ They may be plural at the level of meaning, that is too say, refer to more than one person, but grammatically spacing they are singular e.g. ‘Everybody is here’ or ‘Has anybody seen Rose?’ Thanks for sharing! :)
