Testing Pinterest Activities: Painter's Tape Towers
Painter's Tape + Building blocks. Who knew?! I'd say this would be great for 3+ with maybe some modifications (listed below)
👉🏻 I wasn't sure how long this would keep my 7 year old engaged, but he was VERY into the tallest piece of tape & spent almost all his time building that tower.
👉🏻 My daughter focused more on the shorter pieces & she loved getting creative with different building materials. She initialed each piece of tape when she had completed the tower, so that she could keep track.
Modifications 👇🏻
•For Younger kids:
•Tape the painter's tape flat on the ground. This would be great for younger kids. They can build their tower with it laying flat vs standing up
•Same idea as above, but instead of building a tower, they just have to put objects down to cover the length of the tape (I.e cars, trains, counting bears, paw patrol characters, little people, etc.)
•Make tape pieces lower to ground
For older kids:
•Challenge them that the tower has to stand on its own and CAN NOT lean on anything
•They have to use at least 2+ building materials to make their towers.
•Give them a time component. (I.e. 4 different tape towers in under 15 min. Etc.
•Make tape pieces taller which causes them to get more creative with how to keep their tower standing
