I've tested and tried all of these for 2+ years and I'm here to tell you the success story 🙌🏻
1. Make breakfast ahead: I get it. I always thought my kids would just eat cereal and we do eat plenty of it. BUT, as kids eat later and later in the day, that doesn't always fill them up. If you can take 1 day a month (we call it Pancake Palooza) or a week to just prep pancakes, waffles, muffins, breakfast burritos, etc. and freeze them I promise, you won't regret it! I add 1 scoop of @cleansimpleeats vanilla protein per batch of pancakes. Code: GALPRACTICAL saves on any order from CSE. (My pancakes I usually divide with a ziplock freezer bag with parchment paper. You don't have to, but otherwise you just gotta be prepared to rip and beat those babies apart).
2. Apples in lunches. So many videos on this and how to stop them from turning brown, but I just don't think it's worth it for the extra steps. I tested it & the difference is minimal no matter the method. Maybe i am just bitter because my kids still rarely touch them. BUT, adding a sprinkle of cinnamon has changed the game for us. Hides the brown, tastes delicious.
3. DIY uncrustables: Cheaper AND Control the amount of PB and J. I recommend making no more than a week's worth to keep them fresh. They don't get soggy (I've tested it), as long as you don't go crazy with the jelly. ( I also discovered that I like the UnCrustable makers that give an extra seal).
