A new teacher, Kyung-ae, has arrived in a mountain village. Her predecessor, Yeon-hee, is handing over her duties and is about to leave... but then one of the students, passionate about wildlife, catches and then releases an owl. Subsequent events will show Kyung-ae the importance of a teacher's understanding of her students.
Judging by the credits, these 45 minutes of sweetness are a student project. The fact that two decades later, this film was chosen from a vast selection for an export release is a testament to the project's success.
