The action unfolds during preparations for a mass gymnastics performance in honor of the 55th anniversary of the Workers' Party. The main character, Moon Gyu, is an assistant director working with the children's section. He does everything possible to ensure the children perform well. Ra Hyun-hee, Moon Gyu's school friend, is appointed chairperson of the creative committee for the event. They had previously participated in similar performances. Everyone thinks they'll work together seamlessly, but creative and personal tensions arise from the very beginning...
In 2001, the film was shown at the 23rd Moscow International Film Festival. The newspaper "Vremya Novostey" noted at the time: "The true value of a work of art lies not in the beauty of form, but in the depth of content," as stated in Comrade Kim Jong Il's already-quoted speech. However, North Korean filmmakers don't forget the spectacle of their films. Watching two sports films is a true treat... especially Rim Chang-bum's "On the Green Carpet of the Stadium" (2001).
