The head inside sweep single leg takedown is a basic leg attack that is one of the most utilized in wrestling from neutral or standing. The sweep is good because your body is on the outside or behind your opponent, making it hard for them to sprawl.

When you shoot a head inside single, you want to use your head to drive the leg up. If you try to pick up, as opposed to driving in, your opponent has a chance to sprawl. You want to make sure you get the leg tight, if not your opponent can kick his leg out.

There are lots of setups you can use, but the setup in this video is a quick head snap. There are also a lot of different finishes that could be utilized, but this finish uses movement to set up a footsweep or trip.
