Rising water demand and decreasing water sources are exacerbating water scarcity in many regions of the world. Therefore, many countries have turned to desalination as a way to increase freshwater supply. Brine, high saline water with chemicals, is the "waste" product of desalination. However, if we can turn it into a resource, not only will the environment benefit, but we could decrease the price of desalination.

Mistake: I said energy creation instead of generation.
