FinditParts, an online supplier of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, has been crowned the primary online retailer for Diesel Laptops' suite of repair applications. The Diesel Decoder, designed for heavy-duty truck owner-operators and small commercial fleets, allows users to read fault codes and access Diesel Repair to obtain repair information, identify parts, and seamlessly order the necessary parts through FinditParts – an integration that ensures that technicians, owner-operators, and drivers can quickly and efficiently address vehicle issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
By working with FinditParts, Diesel Laptops CEO Tyler Robertson said his company is now able to lead customers from fault code to the parts they need in just minutes, saving technicians and truck owners hours of diagnostic and sourcing time.
Supply chain visibility platform GoComet has added detention and demurrage intel to its AI-powered platform.
GoComet surveyed industry experts from more than 200 global brands and found that seven out of 10 supply chain teams grappled with revenue leakages via accessorial charges like detention and demurrage.
D&D Intel will help to prevent detention and demurrage overhead, one of the biggest cost leakages in supply chain freight transportation. Designed to support logistics teams in better managing their freight with more visibility, predictive alerts and exception workflows, D&D Intel allows for more proactive exception handling.
GoComet's visibility data revealed that 64% of shipments experience delays of two or more days, amounting to approximately $900,000 of potential D&D costs to shippers.
Goodyear has launched a new tires-as-a-service offering that combines the company’s premium tires, predictive insights and service footprint in one, subscription-based solution. Building on the company’s Total Mobility program, Goodyear will manage end-to-end tire service on behalf of its customers.
Goodyear says recent pilots has show the tires-as-a-service solution helped reduce total cost of ownership, contributing to a nearly 80% reduction in emergency vehicle breakdown events and a 100% reduction in customer-owned inventory for a last-mile delivery fleet operating in the U.S.
Features of the pay-per-mileage subscription include Goodyear tires equipped with tire intelligence technology to generate proactive insights; Continuous, 24/7 tire monitoring and data collection from every tire; Proactive alert management and service coordination; Aperia Technologies’ Halo Tire Inflator, a self-powered automatic tire inflation system installed on applicable wheel ends; and Access to Goodyear’s service network to dispatch technicians whenever needed.
Software company Spartan Radar and Smart Radar System, a worldwide leader in 4D AI imaging radar for automotive, commercial vehicle and smart city applications, are partnering to bring Spartan's advanced software solutions on SRS radars to immediately deploy a new safety solution for today's commercial vehicles.
The SRS-Spartan combined solution detects objects in large vehicle blind spots, such as other vehicles on the road or workers on foot. The system alerts drivers of multiple objects in their path and shows where in relation to the vehicle they are, giving drivers the most accurate awareness of what is around their vehicle, thus greatly reducing the chance of collision.
