Restoring an extremely rare, Belgian DAI PC (Part 2)
In this series, I'll be restoring a unique machine from the late 70s: A Belgian DAI Personal Computer, designed and manufactured by Data Applications International. It was far ahead of its time: despite being a humble 8-bit microcomputer, it would go on to be used by TV stations to generate early digital graphics. The machine was even chosen by the Dutch government to be the BBC Micro of the Benelux; but due to manufacturing and many other issues, it was not to be. Today, largely forgotten, the DAI PC deserves a thorough second look, because of the amazing alternative history it could have led to.
In this episode I'll be tackling the power supply unit.
