Update Jan 22, 2026:
Starbase has not received an update to the live server still and no updates to the test universe since the one discussed in this video. The devs have mentioned that they have a new other game soon to come out, and that may or may not help fund further Starbase development. So, please only buy or play the game now if you are happy with the current features. I suggest waiting for a sale, either way.
After years of waiting, we finally can get our hands on some new features in Starbase. Frozenbyte seem to be, at least for now, making good on their promise to return to development of the game. In this video I briefly explain how to try the new features, what features have currently been added, and which we still have to wait for.

Hopefully this marks a turning point for the game and begins a path towards becoming the game we all want it to be. Keep an eye out for more, non-news, videos coming soon!
