I will provide first hand experience of building an Expo + Relay app. As an opinionated framework, Relay has an impressive and powerful toolchain including checking your GraphQL tags against your schema and auto-generating typescript types. There also exists some slight differences exist between Relay Modern and the more popular Apollo GraphQL.
