Monetary Policy (Part 1): Implementation
This video marks the beginning of Topic 4: Economic Policies. And the first policy that we will learn about is Monetary Policy.
This video will cover how Monetary Policy is implemented. We will start by giving a simple explanation of domestic (open) market operations and also cover the interest rate corridor.
NOTE: Since the publishing of this video, the RBA and HSC textbooks have begun to favour the interest rate corridor explanation more than the DMO explanation.
