Long Range Drone Flight Over Lake TBS Crossfire
Took a trip to the lake this weekend to fly some long range over water. I still get so nervous when flying long range, especially over water !
Been pushing the TBS frame and gear further every time, been preparing for some water flying. Watching my link quality very closely, keeping track of where I am and my battery capacity.
Running an external battery on my full TBS Crossfire transmitter, I have it set on 1000mw right now. It will go up to 2W but thought it should be plenty for this, all line of site and not more than a mile or two at the most.
Everything went well, no problems or hiccups, video worked great and radio was awesome. I have the TBS Unify Pro video transmitter set max at 800mw.
This was actually the second flight, I flew a total of four and plan on posting them all, every flight turned out awesome and each one is better than the last :)
