Hello, Eccentrics. Welcome to another session of the Club!
Right in the heart of England, in Hagley Wood, near Wychbury Hill, on the border of the West Midlands and Worcestershire. It's a postcard image of the British countryside, green fields, picturesque little towns. And in the center stands the Wychbury Obelisk, a massive stone pillar. If you get close enough, there's a message painted on its base in large white letters.
This phrase has appeared and reappeared throughout the surrounding area for decades. It's a question that has haunted the West Midlands for over 75 years. Who Put Bella in the Scottish Elm?
In most murder investigations, you start with the victim. Establish the facts of their lives, what they did and where they were in the days before their death. From there, you can begin to narrow down the people who might have had motive or opportunity to harm them.
But what if you don't know who the victim is? Theories about Bella's true identity abound, and if you're willing to open your mind, the strangest possibilities might offer the closest thing we have to an answer.
