Polychrome satin is an awesome textile that allows us to ‘paint’ the units - or pixels - in figurative and geometric designs on the drawloom. No pre-planned striped warps or messing around with butterflies is required. In this video we consider satin damask as a binary textile and think about various ways to add color. A complete explanation of polychrome satin follows with examples, considerations, and a weaving demo.

Featuring a special guest appearance by socks hand-knitted from Green Mountain Spinnery's Lana fingering-weight wool.
